ROBERT J. OVERMAN SR.

He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Dalphene Overman of Powell, Tenn.
Robert was retired with Civil Service, where he served as a fire inspector at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro.
He also served in the Army, and was a World War II veteran.
He was a longtime member at May’s Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church in Dudley, and was involved in the American Legion post.
A service of remembrance will be held Wednesday, March 9, at noon at May’s Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church. The Rev. Jeff Daughtry will officiate the service, followed by a time of visitation and sharing with family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the church, located at 3831 U.S 117 Alternate, Dudley, N.C., 28333.
