LOUISE C. HUDSON

Aug. 5, 1928-Feb. 7, 2016

Louise Carter Hudson, 87, resident of the Mount Olive area, passed away Sunday afternoon, Feb. 7, at Wayne Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mount Olive Ward. Presiding and conducting will be Bishop Doug Wiggins, with the eulogy being given by Justin Carraway. Burial will immediately follow in Calypso Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive.

Mrs. Hudson was the widow of Edward C. Hudson; daughter of the late James Elbert Carter and Carrie Mae Southerland Carter; and sister of the late Elbert, G.B. and Rommie Carter.

She had been a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ed C. Hudson Jr. and Susan Hudson of Mount Olive; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jackie H. Denise and husband, Brian, of Rutledge, Tenn., and Tolitha H. Prybylinski and husband, Michael, of Seven Springs; another son-in-law, Gary Carraway of Hampton, Va., who is the husband of deceased daughter, Selena H. Carraway; 10 grandchildren, Justin, Michael, Emily, Kari, LaDonna, Patience, Carlee, Cheyenne, Cody and Cienna; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

As Mrs. Hudson was all about helping others, it would be her wish, instead of flowers being sent, that others would visit a lonely resident in a nursing center, treat a service man or woman to a hearty meal or give to the humanitarian aid offering at church.

A Tyndall service.
