Lois H. Scott, 91, Wilson, passed away Friday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
Lois was born in Wayne County Feb. 22, 1924, to the late Lester and Ora Holland Shirley. She was married to the late Jim Hinnant and the late Buck Scott.
Lois leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love and support for the people she cared about.
A service celebrating her life will be held Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Kenly Funeral Service, with the Rev. Billy Toler officiating. Interment will follow the service at Kenly Cemetery.
Lois is survived by her son, Jimmy Hinnant and wife, Patsy, of Wilson; grandchildren, Scott and Shane Hinnant; great-grandchildren, Breanna, Baleigh and Tyler Hinnant; brother, Wilber Shirley and wife, Margie, of Goldsboro; and stepdaughters, Betty Casey, Ann Joyner, Kay Fail and Brenda Lillard all of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service
