CARL MOZINGO

Carl "Bozo" Mozingo, 82, LaGrange, passed away Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, at his home.
Carl was born Nov. 18, 1933, in Wayne County to the late Norman Mozingo and Olive Dawson Mozingo.
Carl's wife of 54 years, Anne Lynch Mozingo, preceded him in death Jan. 21, 2016.
Carl retired from Caswell Center, was a member of St. John's Masonic Lodge No. 4 and proudly served his country in the United States Army.
One to never meet a stranger, Carl enjoyed good conversation and socializing with others. Carl enjoyed working in his yard, and his family fondly remembers him as a professional piddler.
He was a man of great faith, and enjoyed worship at Trinity Free Will Baptist Church.
A service to celebrate and honor Carl's life will be held Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, at 3 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, with pastor Gerald Fowler officiating. A committal service will be held Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery.
Carl is survived by two children, Amanda Johnson and husband, Joe, and Jonathan Mozingo; four grandchildren, Samantha and husband, Keith, and Hartley, Kenley and Gray; brother, Michael Mozingo; and a niece, Mary Gray Finch.
In addition to his parents and wife, Carl was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Magdalene Finch.
Carl's family will receive friends Sunday following the service and at other times, the family will be at the home.
