Ezra Jackson Jr. was born June 10, 1943, and died Feb. 2, 2016.
He was the son of the late Ezra Jackson Sr. and Ruby Summers Jackson.
Funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1065 Tommy Road, Goldsboro, N.C.
Family will meet friends Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Mount Zion Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1289 Parkstown Road. At other times, the family will be at his home, 1109 LaGrange Road.
He is survived by a son, Terry Parks of Hyattsville, Md.; a daughter, Nicole Shorter of Detroit, Mich.; five nephews, Sandy (Iris), Cedric (Annie), Keith Jackson, George Jr. and Tracy Hargrove of the Parkstown community; a niece, Annette Hargrove of LaGrange; and a special friend, Mable Bolar of Goldsboro, N.C.
