MELVIN HAWKINS
Melvin Lawrence Hawkins, 65, of 705 Field St., Kinston, died Monday, Dec. 21, at home.
He was born in Lenoir County on Jan. 23, 1950, to Cicero Hawkins and Eunice Foye Hawkins. He is survived by his mother.
The celebration of his life will be held Monday at noon in the Nannie D. Loftin Memorial Chapel at Loftin Memorial, J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home, 106 N. East St., Kinston. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery, Old Asphalt Road, Kinston. Viewing will be held Monday in the chapel from 11 a.m. to noon.
