Ms. Rose Mae McCoy Butler, 55, 205 Randall Lane, Apt. 5, Goldsboro, N.C., departed her earthly life Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015, at her residence.
Rose was born in Wayne County Sept. 22, 1960, to the late Mr. George McCoy Sr. and Mrs. Ronetta McDuffie McCoy.
She was educated in the Wayne County public school system. Rose attended Goldsboro High School, and graduated in the class of 1978.
Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015, at noon at St. James Church of Christ Disciples of Christ, 603 W. Spruce St., Goldsboro, N.C. Pastor Veronica J. Carmichael will officiate.
Interment will follow in Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 410 Casey Mills Road, Dudley, N.C.
Also, a public viewing will be held Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015, from 11 to 11:50 a.m. at St. James Church of Christ Disciples of Christ, 603 W. Spruce St., Goldsboro, N.C.
Sister Butler leaves to cherish her loving and precious memories to her siblings, Mildred Posey, Janet Miller, Irene Teachey, Patricia McCoy, George McCoy Jr., (Shirley Murchinson) and Johnnie McDuffie; a special friend, Shirley McCoy; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015, the family members and friends will assemble one hour prior at 10:50 a.m. at the residence of Ms. Rose Butler, 205 Randall Lane, Apt. 5, Goldsboro, N.C., in preparation for the funeral procession.
Flowers may be sent to McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C., beginning Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
