Joseph M. Bass, 85, 101 Johnson Place, Mount Olive, died Wednesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral will be Saturday at noon at New Saints Delight United Holy Church, with Bishop Quincy Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Carver Cemetery.
He was born Dec. 4, 1930, in Duplin County to Ellard Bass Sr. and Geneva Faison Bass.
Three children survive.
Visitation will be 3 to 6 tonight at Garris Funeral Home chapel.
The family will assemble at Garris Funeral Home at 11 a.m. for the funeral procession.
