Ann Davis Denning, 75, Goldsboro, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family.

Ann was born in Wayne County Nov. 11, 1940, to the late Hugh Miller Davis and Lucille Hinnant Davis.

She was a longtime member of Providence United Methodist Church. Ann was devoted to her church, and was involved in many activities, where she utilized her gifts and abilities to share the love of God.

Having worked in the insurance industry for 37 years, Ann retired from Ash-Berkeley Insurance Agency in Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the fellowship hall at Providence United Methodist Church, followed by a service celebrating her life at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary, with pastor Dusty Sprouse and pastor Terry Hobbs officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of Wanda and Terry Tyndall, 605 Providence Church Road, Goldsboro.

Ann is survived by her husband, Jerry Mack Denning; daughters, Delaine Tucker and husband, Joe, of Goldsboro and Wanda Tyndall and husband, Terry, of Goldsboro; three grandchildren, Brandon Tucker and wife, Cassie, April Tucker and John Tyndall and wife, Jennifer; and a great-granddaughter, Lilly Ann Tyndall.

She is also survived by a special nephew, Andy Denning, and his family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Davis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 202 Providence Church Road, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
