Mrs. Lola Lee Bass, 105, Clinton, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015, surrounded by her family at Willow Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Goldsboro.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, at Plain View Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 5105 Hobbton Highway, Clinton, with the Rev. W.O. "Chubby" Reiber officiating.

Family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. in the church sanctuary.

Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.

Born July 6, 1910, in Sampson County, Mrs. Lola was the daughter of the late Harvey K. and Katie Jackson Lee.

She was a retired dietary aide at Sampson Regional Medical Center, and was a longtime member of Plain View Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, where she was a charter member and past president of the ladies auxiliary.

She is survived by a son, Harold Lee Bass and wife, Hazel, of Wilkesboro; daughter-in-law, Melva Bass of Goldsboro; a sister, Edna Lee Beasley and husband, Roy, of Raleigh; nephew, Tony Beasley of Raleigh; and five grandchildren, Janet Woodard and husband, Rex, of Bentonville, Darlene Newsome of Goldsboro, Gary Bass of Winterville, Barbara Adams and husband, James, of Wilkesboro and Bryan Bass and wife, Misty, of Wilkesboro.

Mrs. Lola was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Clarence Hubert Bass; a son, Hubert J. "Pete" Bass; a sister, Louise Lee Wise; and two brothers, Herman Lee and Wilton Lee.
