FRANCES H. STRICKLAND

Frances Herring Strickland, 95, died Tuesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
She was born in Wayne County to the late George Thomas and Lola Williamson Herring.
She was a member of Unity Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Johnny Strickland officiating.
The family will be receiving friends Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times, will be at the home of Melvin and Sylvia Strickland.
She is survived by three sons, Billy Strickland of Pierre, S.D., James Earl Strickland of Pink Hill and Johnny Strickland of Wilmington; two daughters, Sylvia Strickland of Mount Olive and Debby Snyder of Dudley; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
