Sherwood Wayne Mitchell, 68, of Kenly, died Saturday at his residence. Sherwood was born Oct. 3, 1947 in Johnston County to the late Robert Lee Mitchell and Florence Jones Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Mitchell.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Isaac Stallings Cemetery.
He is survived by one son.
Sherwood's family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service. Arrangements are with Kenly Funeral Service.
