Blanche Turner Radford, 93, Goldsboro, was called home Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, to the loving arms of Jesus Christ her Lord.

Blanche was born in Wayne County Oct. 21, 1921, to the late Ezekiel and Laura Daniels Turner. She was married to the late Elbert Gideon Radford.

Blanche retired from Cherry Hospital, and was a member of Spring Hill Free Will Baptist Church.

Blanche had a very outgoing personality, and was always quick to share her opinion. She loved to laugh, and her laugh was infectious. She was a very caring and compassionate person. Blanche brought joy, laughter and love to everyone she met.

A service celebrating Blanche's life will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015, in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lewis Forsythe and the Rev. Doug Radford officiating. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, in Wayne Memorial Park.

Blanche is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lynda and Raymond Haywood, and several nieces and nephews she loved very dearly.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be given to Springs Hill Free Will Baptist Church, 2127 U.S. 70 West, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015, from 6 to 7 p.m. and immediately following the service at Seymour Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of her daughter, 1331 Old Smithfield Road, Goldsboro.

Special thanks to her wonderful family, neighbors, church friends and the nurses and doctors who cared for her and her family in so many kind and thoughtful ways through the years and during this time of loss.
