BETH ANN DAWLEY

Oct. 2, 1957-Sept. 30, 2015

Beth Ann Dawley, 57, Goldsboro, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015, at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.

Beth was born in Franklin County, Ohio, Oct. 2, 1957, to the late Harold J. Vaughn and Julia A. McDorman Vaughn.

For more than 20 years, Beth worked as a barber at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro.

Beth will be remembered by many for her love of life and its varied possibilities.

She spent many of her healthy years helping people and animals in need. She enjoyed reading and sewing. Above all, Beth loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her precious grandchildren.

Beth brought joy, laughter and love to everyone she met. We were lucky to have her in our lives, and the world will be a sadder place without her.

A service celebrating Beth's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with Larry Crowder presiding.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

Beth is survived by her husband of 40 years, Russell W. Dawley; children, Adrienne Nicole Dawley and Kevin Shields, Andrea Natasha Pendergrass and husband, Keith, and Andrew Nicholas Dawley and wife, Amy; brothers, Stephen Vaughn and Daniel Vaughn; sister, Lisa Caudle; grandchildren, Collin Dawley, Brody Dawley, Amelia Pendergrass and Chase Pendergrass; several nieces and nephews; as well as many other extended family whom she loved very much.

Special thanks to her wonderful friends, the Crowders and Dimmett families, who cared for her and her family in so many kind and thoughtful ways through the years and during this time of loss.
