DAVID JOHN "TOMMY" MYERS

David John "Tommy" Myers, 84, Mount Olive passed away Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

He was the son of the late Hillary and Thelma Myers, and was the husband of Lisa S. Myers.

Mr. Tommy was a United States Army Veteran, and was the owner and operator of Dudley Hardware.

A time of remembrance will be held at Dudley Hardware Tuesday at 11 a.m. or at any other time of convenience during the week.

In addition to his wife, Tommy is survived by his children, Mark Myers and wife, Wendy, of Morganton and Lisa Foss and husband, Chester, of Dudley; stepchildren, Bruce Brown Jr. and Robert Wesley Shank Jr. both of York, Pa., and Alishea Brown and Natosha Brown both of Dudley; grandchildren, David Foss and wife, Melissa, of Dudley, Brandon Foss and wife, Amber of Mount Olive, Kailey Foss of Faison, Anna Myers of Morganton and Amber Welner and husband, Matt, of Hickory; stepgrandchildren, Viviana Maddox, Tyleem Coleman and Kierrah Coleman; great-grandchildren, Matthew Foss, Amanda Foss, Alaina Taylor and Addison Welner; a brother, Gene Myers of Mount Olive; and cousins, Judy King and husband, Mark, Martha Turner and husband, M.D., and George Hall.

A grandson, Jamey Myers, preceded him in death.
