M. Maxine Ramsey, 80, Fayetteville, passed away peacefully at her home Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Private burial will be at Sandhill's State Veterans Cemetery Monday, Sept. 21, 2015.
She was a loving, devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She was always concerned about others before herself. She had a loving heart, and touched so many lives with her presence.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, retired Col. John D. Ramsey.
She is survived by her daughter, Deb Hall and husband, George, of Salemburg, N.C.; son, J.D. Ramsey II and wife, Libby, of Goldsboro, N.C.; son, Todd Ramsey and wife, Suzanne, of Greenville, N.C.; grandchildren, John D. Ramsey III and wife, Megan, George Hall II and wife, Maggie, Erik Ramsey and Lance Ramsey and wife, Jennifer; great-grandchildren, L.J. and Blake Ramsey, Millie Hall and Jack Ramsey; brother; sister; sister-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
