JEANETTA JONES HAM

Ms. Jeanetta Jones Ham was born Nov. 8, 1940, in Goldsboro, N.C., to the late Joseph and Nancy Ward Jones. She passed from death unto life Aug. 26, 2015, surrounded by family.

She was educated in the Goldsboro city school system, where she attended Dillard High School and was a member of the class of 1959.

She retired from O'Berry Center, where she was a developmental tech II, in 2000.

She belonged to St. Delight United Holy Church in LaGrange.

Jeanetta was preceded to eternity by her parents and her brother, William "Ted" Jones.

She left many precious memories to cherish with her sister, Lola McEachin; sons, Edwin, Michael (Kyle), Selby (Melissa), Lindsey Keith and Scott; daughters, Beverly (Rick), Sherri, Veta Michele and Tamara Jo; 25 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A service celebrating her life will be held Friday, Sept. 4, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Bear Creek Association Headquarters, 1800 S. Slocumb St. Goldsboro, N.C., with the Rev. Dr. Devin Pickett officiating. Interment will follow in Woodland Friends Cemetery on Nancy Drive in Dudley, N.C.

Public viewing will be held Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, from 3 to 7 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m., at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., Goldsboro, N.C.
