LEWIE ARLIE BAKER

Lewie Arlie Baker, 78, passed away Sunday.
Born in Bonham, Texas, he was the son of the late Marvin and Vera Baker, and was the husband of the late Bessie Brown Howard Baker and the late Bessie Narron Baker.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Goldsboro Worship Center, with the family visiting with friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park
Lewie was a veteran of the United States Army, and retired from Kemp Furniture Co.
He was a member of Goldsboro Worship Center.
Lewie is survived by a daughter, Bridget Melrose; a son, James Howard and wife, Dorothy; a daughter-in-law, Kathleen Howard; three brothers; three sisters; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his wives, he was preceded in death by a son, Gordon Howard; three sisters; and one brother.
