Elizabeth White Howell Quinn, 91, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 5, at her residence in Seven Springs.

She had served the town of Seven Springs as commissioner, and was a member of Seven Springs Area Rescue Ladies Auxiliary.

She was a member of Daly Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 7, at 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive, with the Rev. George Futrelle officiating, and with visitation following. She will be laid to rest in Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive alongside her first husband, Donald Howell, following a 10 a.m. committal service Saturday, Aug. 8.

Friends and relatives are also gathering at the residence.

While flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may also be made to Daly Chapel Church.

Mrs. Quinn is survived by her husband, Thurston Quinn of the home; a son, Dexter Howell of Fallbrook, Calif.; a daughter and son-in-law, Jenny and Hal Holmes of Mount Olive; a stepson, Regan Wyant Quinn of Elizabethtown; a stepdaughter, Tamara White and husband, Ed, of Mullans, Idaho; seven grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Quinn, a native of Jones County, was the daughter of the late Curnel Hunter White and Helen Mae Turnage White.

She, too, was preceded in death by her siblings, Vivian Brittingham, Louise Ricks, Durwood White and Richard "Buddy" White.
