Bradford "Brad" Cushing, 62, died Tuesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Born in Springfield, Mass., he was a 20-year veteran of the United States Air Force, and worked for 30 years for Turner Equipment Co.
He was the assistant chief with Mar Mac Fire Department.
A service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Providence United Methodist Church. Fire department honors will follow at Wayne Memorial Park, and the family will visit immediately following the honors at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
Brad is survived by his wife, Nancy Cushing; three children, Carrie, Andrew and Katherine; and four grandchildren.
