EDDIE B. BELL

Mr. Eddie B. Bell, 74, affectionately known by his family and friends as "Eddie B," of 435 Frank St., Goldsboro, N.C., departed his earthly life Thursday, July 30, 2015, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro, N.C.

Eddie B. was born in Greene County June 12, 1941, to the late Mr. John H. Bell Sr. and Mrs. Thelma Buckrham Bell.

He received his education in the public school system of Wayne County. Eddie B. graduated from Dillard High School in the Class of 1960.

After graduating from high school, Eddie B. served his country by enlisting in the United States Air Force. He served more than 20 years of service, and received an honorable discharge as a retired technical sergeant from the United States Air Force.

Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015, at 11 a.m. in D.L. McIntyre Memorial Chapel at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C. The Rev. Jimmy Munford will officiate.

Interment will follow with a private ceremony.

A public viewing will be held Monday, Aug. 3, 2015, from 2 to 6 p.m. in D.L. McIntyre Memorial Chapel at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C., with the family present from 5 to 6 p.m.

Retired Technical Sgt. Bell leaves to cherish his loving and precious memories his two sons, Darryl Bell (Carol) of Blackshear, Ga., and Kevin Bell of Shreveport, La.; his daughter, Vicka Willis of Shreveport, La.; his two sisters; Mary Hobbs Hamm (Jesse) and Torrior Mechelle Bell all of Goldsboro, N.C.; his two brothers, Michael D. Bell Sr. (Tammy) and Aundra Bel all of Goldsboro, N.C.; his three grandchildren; his six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015, the family members and friends will assemble one hour prior at 10:15 a.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C., in preparation for the funeral lineup.

Flowers may be sent to McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C., beginning Monday, Aug. 3, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
