KENNETH ROGERS RADFORD

Kenneth Rogers Radford, 76, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 25, 2015, at his home.

Mr. Radford was born in Greene County Dec. 13, 1938, to the late Charlie Radford Sr. and Penny Lou Smith Radford.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Radford.

Mr. Radford retired as the captain of Kinston Fire Department after 22 years of service.

Following retirement, he worked with Central Heating and Air.

Mr. Radford always enjoyed the opportunity of finding a good find at auctions and yard sales.

A service celebrating his life will be held Monday, July 27, 2015, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Rouse Funeral Home, with the Rev. Arnold Ball officiating. A private interment for the family will be Tuesday at Cobb Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday following the service at Rouse Funeral Home and other times at the home of his brother, 802 E. Washington St., LaGrange.

Mr. Radford is survived by his sons, Jimmy Radford of Clemmons and Preston Andrew Radford of Seven Springs; grandchildren, David, Paula, Christopher and Heather Radford; and brother, Charlie Radford Jr.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Radford was preceded in death by a son, Michael Allen Radford; sister, Barbara Jean James; and brother, Ira Nelson Radford.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
