Lawyer Lewis, 83, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church, with pastor Joe A. Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Barnes Cemetery.
He was born Aug. 3, 1931, in Wayne County to John Lewis and Mertie Whitfield Lewis. He was married to Carrie M. Ward Lewis.
Visitation will be tonight from 2 to 6 in J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
