Ethel Mae Murphy was born Feb. 15, 1932.
She departed her earthly life to be with the Lord June 17, 2015, at Vidant Medical Hospital in Greenville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herlies Murphy; a son, Herlies Murphy Jr.; and a brother, Jimmy Lee Williams.
She leaves to cherish he memories a daughter, Ethel Murphy Reid (Roy) of Goldsboro, N.C.; a son, Baby Ray Murphy of Farmville, N.C.; and seven brothers and sisters, George Williams Jr., Herbert Williams Jr. (Ida), Charles Edward Williams (Mary Lou), James Thomas Williams, Johnny Ray Williams (Sylvia), Mary Sue Williams Davis (Jimmy) and Belinda Faye Williams.
The family will meet friends Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Horne Funeral Services, 3865 S. Main St., Farmville, N.C.
A service to celebrate her life will be Friday at 11 a.m. at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 3647 N.C. 222, Falkland, N.C., 27827.
