Milton Head, 83, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2015.

Milton was born in Wayne County on May 17, 1932, to the late William B. and Beulah Chase Head.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator with Head Grading Co.

Milton was a member of Liberty Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Family was very important to Milton, and he was very proud of his children and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Barry House officiating.

The family will receive friends Tuesday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home.

Interment will be Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at 10 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.

Milton is survived by his wife of 63 years, Shirley Combs Head; daughter, Deborah Kay Barley of Goldsboro; sons, Johnny Ray Head and wife, Pam, of Pikeville and Jerry Head and wife, Debbie, of Goldsboro; sisters, Gladys Mason of Lillington, Thelma Davis of Goldsboro, Joyce Newcomb of Goldsboro and Barbara Ann Dawson of Goldsboro; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Patricia Head of Aiken, S.C.,.m and a special nephew, Ernie Head.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Lee Head; and brothers, Ed Douglas Head and Linwood Head.
