MARGARET L. EDMONDS
Died June 14, 2015
Margaret L. Edmonds 84, Goldsboro, peacefully left this earth to be with her Lord June 14, knowing she had lived a great and fulfilling life, loved by many whose lives she touch with her kindness and good will.
She was a woman whom we can't seem to remember not having a smile on her face, a woman who would always greet a stranger with a warm hello and offer an extended hand to help someone.
She was a devoted and loving wife to her late husband, Jack Edmonds, for 64 years, and loved and cared for him with all her heart.
They both were longtime members of New Hope United Methodist Church.
She was a wonderful mother, who shared unconditional love toward her three sons, Mark, Bryan and Glenn, and strived to embed her true, honest and Christian values onto them.
She was a mother, who became a grandmother and a great-grandmother, who enjoyed spending time and sharing her love with them all, which includes Jenny Kornegay, Emily Edmonds, Trevor Edmonds, Austin Kornegay, Tyler Kornegay and Taylor Edmonds.
She was a woman who extended the same love to her expanding family, including Jean Edmonds, Donna Edmonds, Shannon Edmonds and Aaron Kornegay.
She was a woman who cared for so many others throughout her life, and who, without a doubt, will be remembered and loved by many more than she would have ever imagine.
Margaret is survived by her sister, Doris Angel of Portsmouth, Va., and two brothers, Jack Gordon of Scotland Neck, N.C., and Ed Gordon of Richmond, Va.
Her kindness and love will live forever in our hearts.
No local services are planned.

A special and sincere thank you goes out to the staff at Brekenridge Retirement Center in Rocky Mount and Nash Hospice and Palliative Care for the warm and caring service they provided while she was in their care.
