QUEEN E. WELDON

Queen E. Weldon, 91, passed away Monday, June 9, 2015, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Homegoing services for Mother Weldon will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at The Word Faith Center, 296 Buck Swamp Road in Goldsboro.
Viewing will be held prior to the service from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park North.
Mrs. Weldon was born in Greene County Nov. 21, 1923, to the late Shade and Ethel James.
She was a member of Saint's Delight Holy Church in Parkstown, where she was a church mother, choir member and usher.
She is survived by a son, Robert L. Weldon of Maryland; daughter, Ethel Weldon Phillips and husband, William, of Goldsboro; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jesse F. Humphrey.
Services entrusted to Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
