Roderick Willard Waters, 72, passed June 5, 2015, at his home in Mount Olive, N.C.
He was born in Wayne County to the late George Waters and late Mable Waters.
Surviving relatives include three brothers, Gleno (Berthenia), George (Mamie) and Frederick; two sisters, Shirley and Barbara; and other relatives and friends.
He graduated from Carver High School in 1960, and retired from Mt. Olive Pickle Co. after many years of service.
He was an active member of First Congregational Church.
Funeral service will take place Friday, June 12, 2015, at First Congregational Church, 215 Sleepy Creek Road, Dudley, N.C., 28333, beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Viewing will be held Thursday, June 11, from 1 to 6 p.m. at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitations and condolences at the home of Mrs. Shirley W. Evans, 2335 Old Mount Olive Hwy., Dudley, N.C., 28333.
