Gospel music artist Bill English, 64, went home to be with his Lord and savior Sunday evening, March 29, 2015, while singing with his gospel group 4 Christ at Peniel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church in Willard, N.C.

A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday evening, March 31, 2015, at 6 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home of his daughter.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Bill was born in New Hanover County Dec. 7, 1950, to Dr. William Barney English of the Pines of Goldsboro and the late Estelle Benton English.

He was the founder of 4 Christ Group Southern Gospel Music. Bill had sung southern gospel music for many years. He enjoyed playing piano, bass guitar and any other instruments.

Bill served as past pianist and minister of music at several area churches.

He leaves to cherish his memories his precious and devoted wife, Theresa English; his loving daughter, Laura Lancaster and husband, David, of Goldsboro; a sister, Elizabeth Rivenbark and husband, Billy, of Wallace; a grandson, Trey Flanagan; three stepgrandchildren, Nickolas Lancaster, Jeremy Lancaster and Zachary Lancaster; and his 4 Christ Group, whom he loved so dearly.

The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Laura and David Lancaster, 106 Peele Road in Goldsboro.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
