Joy LaFerne Massengill Green, 74, died Monday at Wake Med in Raleigh.
Graveside service will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Montlawn Cemetery, with visitation following.
Born Oct. 16, 1940, in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Gulf and Lu Esta Massengill. She was married to Robert "Bobby" Green.
She is survived by a daughter and a stepson.
Arrangements are by Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and Crematory.
