Ruby Daniels, Goldsboro, was called home Monday, March 2, 2015, to the loving arms of Jesus Christ her Lord while at home with her husband.
Ruby's life was filled with humility, kindness and a love for others that she displayed every time she smiled.
She dedicated her life to serving her family unselfishly and to serving her Lord.
Ruby was a member of Mewborn Primitive Baptist Church, where she served in many ways, sharing the love of God.
She was always available to talk with you and to give an encouraging word or helping hand.
She enjoyed life with her husband, daughters and granddaughter.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 4, 2015, from 11 a.m. to noon at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 12:30 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park in the mausoleum chapel.
Ruby is survived by her husband of 68 years, Allen Daniels; daughters, Sheila Shivar and husband, Vernon, of Goldsboro and Glenda Speight and husband, Doug, of Goldsboro; and her granddaughter, Amy Shivar, and friend, Jamie Scott.
She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Taylor and Ruth Clark of Newport, Frances Carter of Hubert and Mildred Kavka of Ontario, Canada; several nieces and nephews whom she loved very much; and a special friend, Glenda Strickland.
Flowers are welcome or the family suggests memorials be given to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
