Annie Mearle McFatter, 84, Goldsboro, formerly of Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation passed away Monday evening, March 2, 2015, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 6, 2015, at 6 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends afterward.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Creech Family Cemetery in Pine Level.

Mrs. McFatter was born in Johnston County Aug. 22, 1930, to the late Weil and Goldie Stanley Dudley.

She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and a past resident of Kirkwood.

She is survived by her three sons, Teddy Wayne McFatter, Chester McFatter Jr. and fiancée, Debbie Ross, and James William McFatter and wife, Elaine; a daughter, Rita Ann McFatter Thornton and husband, Rayvon; two brothers, Frank Dudley and Woodrow Dudley; three sisters, Pearlie Dudley Daniels, Bessie Dudley Pittman and Betty Dudley Cherry; six grandchildren, Bridgitte Thornton Lee, Rayvon Thornton Jr., Angie McFatter Arnold, Cheryl McFatter Fields, Christie McFatter Johnson and Kevin Kelly; a stepgranddaughter, Carla Sue Rebold; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. McFatter was preceded in death by her husband, Chester McFatter Sr., and several brother and sisters.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
