Nathaniel Hopes Jr., 55, died Wednesday at home.
Graveside service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake with military honors.
He was the son of Reola Hopes of Newark, N.J., and the late Nathaniel Hopes Sr. He was married to Doris M. Hopes.
He is survived by his children.
Visitation will be Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory.
