Ashley Brooks Tillett Wall, 33, died Monday morning at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

Born in Wayne County, she was a loving and dedicated mother, wife and daughter. She was known as the "barefooted girl who loved squirrels."

She was the owner of "Designs and Graphics" and "Wood Works" and partnered with her husband in "Tree Works."

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Audrey Garris Smith; maternal grandfather, Julian Dughi Todd; and paternal grandfather, Daniel A. Tillett.

A service to celebrate Ashley's life will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at United In Christ Church, with pastor Ira Williford officiating. A private burial will be in Howell Family Cemetery.

Family members will greet friends Friday night from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church, and at other times, will be at the home of her grandfather, John Smith, 126 Somervale Lane, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.

Ashley is survived by her husband, Eddie Wall; her father, Robert Tillett of Goldsboro; her mother and stepfather, Becky and Alan Hawkins of Goldsboro; her children, Macy Brooks Davis, Audrey Danielle Davis and Ashton Scott Davis all of the home; her stepchildren, Dalton Robert Wall of the home and Morgan Diane Wall of Elizabeth City; a stepgrandson, Jayden Robert Wall; her maternal grandfather, John T. Smith of Goldsboro; her paternal grandmother, Mary Frances Blake of Goldsboro; a brother, Henry Robert Tillett of Beaufort, N.C.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins whom she loved very much.
