David A. Peterson, 59, Raleigh, passed away unexpectedly Dec. 6, 2014.
David was born July 10, 1955, in Rocky Mount, to Aaron L. Peterson and the late Mabel B. Peterson.
David's home was the O'Berry Center in Goldsboro for the past 30 years, where he thrived due to the love and nurturing of his caregivers.
He loved being around people and talked about cars, family and getting married.
He proposed to every woman he ever met and they all said "yes."
David was always friendly and loving, and was loved in return.
He is survived by his dad, Aaron Peterson; his brother, Bobby Peterson; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Mabel Peterson; brother, Skip Peterson; and sister, Debbie Queen.
A visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 11, from 1 to 2 p.m., followed by a service at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 831Wake Forest Road, Raleigh, N.C., 27604.
Interment will be held immediately after the service at Raleigh Memorial Park.
