Bobby Gene Blackmon, 74, Benson, died at home at Eddy Court Saturday.
Graveside service with military honors will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Kenly Cemetery, with the Rev. Jimmy Earp officiating.
Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Ezra Golden Blackmon and the late Lillian Raper Blackmon. He was married to the late Frances Blackmon.
He is survived by wife, Denise Henderson Blackmon, and a son.
Visitation will be tonight 7 to 9 at Minshew-Coley Funeral Home in Kenly.
