EVELYN MARY LOUISE JONES

Evelyn Mary Louise Jones, 91, Raeford, passed away Monday, Nov. 3, 2014, at First Health Hospice House in West End surrounded by her family.
Evelyn was born in Albany, Australia, May 5, 1923, to the late Robert and Evelyn Dorothea Kleemann Jones. She was married to the late Henry Brogden Jones.
Evelyn loved St. Francis Episcopal Church and Saint Paul's in the Pines Episcopal Church, and was a dedicated and faithful servant her entire life.
She was a lover of the beach, and enjoyed the many beautiful flowers she grew that surrounded her home.
Evelyn had a large extended circle of family and friends, and they were all very special to her. She will be missed, but greatly remembered.
A service celebrating Evelyn's life will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014, at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 503 Forest Hill Drive, Goldsboro, with the Rev. John T. Frazier officiating. Interment will follow in Willow Dale Cemetery.
The family will greet friends Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. in the parish hall at St. Francis Episcopal Church.
Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Marcia Brogden Snow of Raeford, Mary Louise Murphy of Rocky Mount, Pamela Jones Hines and husband, Sammy, of Goldsboro and Deborah Jones Anderson and husband, Jim, of Emerald Isle; sons, Robert Allen Jones of Goldsboro and Bryan Keith Jones and wife, Terri, of Fuquay-Varina; son-in-law, Caton Gantt; grandchildren, Kimberly George, Caton Gantt, Whitney Gantt, Patrick Murphy, Jennifer Bucher, Kristen Caldwell, Matthew Hines, Brogden Hines, Zadok Hines, Clayton Radford, Kyle Radford, Mackenzie Jones and Elliott Jones; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Diane Gantt and Laura Ann Bucher, and her sons-in-law, Glyn Snow and Ken Bucher.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kan., 66675, or First Health Hospice Palliative Care, 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, N.C., 28374.
