ROMMIE A. OUTLAW SR.

Rommie Aldine Outlaw Sr., 84, lifelong resident of Scott's Store/Pleasant Grove community, Mount Olive, passed away Thursday afternoon, Oct. 2, at Vidant Duplin Hospital.

He was a retired farmer, a longtime member of Snow Hill Free Will Baptist Church and a United States Army veteran.

Mr. Outlaw is survived by two sons, Rommie Aldine Outlaw Jr. and Edgar William "Eddie" Outlaw both of Mount Olive; a sister, Joyce O. Tyndall of Kinston; two grandchildren, Alexis Outlaw and Andrea Nicole Outlaw; several nieces and nephews; and the family caregiver, Carol Langford of Mount Olive.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eula Mae Price Outlaw; their daughter, Vickie Outlaw Green; his parents, Edgar and Nora Kornegay Outlaw; two brothers, Remus Outlaw and Eugene Outlaw; and three sisters, Alene O. Torrans, Irene O. Price and Opal O. Smith.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Mark Hobbs and the Rev. Bob Fussell, followed by visitation. Committal and burial will be Sunday, Oct. 5, at 2 p.m. in Edgar Outlaw Family Cemetery on the family farm on which he grew up.

Friends and relatives may also call at the residence.
