Martha Davis McLaurin, 88, Snow Hill, passed away Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014, at Spring Arbor in Kinston.
Martha was born in Watauga County Feb. 11, 1926, to the late Ulyssus and Eunice Howell Davis.
She retired from Civil Service at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
No formal service will be held.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Davis McComas of Newport News, Va.; grandchildren, Kelly Rouse and husband, Nathaniel, of Snow Hill and Chris Weaver and wife, Julie, of Thomasville; and eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to Community Hospice, 1201 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
The family will receive friends Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the home of her granddaughter, 218 W. Greene St., Snow Hill, N.C., 28580.
