Joseph Franklin Kornegay, 67, resident of Wendell, native of the Mount Olive area and son of the late James Eric and Eunice Ward Kornegay, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2014.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, Sept. 2, 10 a.m. at Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive, with the Rev. Paul Rose officiating.
Joe is survived by his siblings, James Eric "Jimmy" Kornegay Jr. with wife, Linda, of Mount Olive, Marcia Jane Kornegay Kearney with husband, Keith, of Cape Carteret, Jerry Nelson Kornegay with wife, Angie, of Mount Olive and Kristy Conway with husband, Parker, of Farmville, and several nieces and nephews.
