LUDIE G. WATKINS

Ludie Grantham Watkins, 85, Pikeville, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Ludie was born in Silver City, N.M., Jan. 29, 1929, to the late Raymond and Edna Bell Grantham.

She was a 1950 graduate of Goldsboro High School.

Scouting played a large role in Ludie's life. Serving scouts in the Tuscarora Council for more many years in various capacities, she dedicated much of her adult life to training boys in scouting. Ludie was the recipient of the Silver Fawn Award, and was the last surviving recipient in the Tuscarora Council.

A service celebrating Ludie's life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends Saturday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and also at the home from 4 to 7 p.m., 209 Purple Iris Drive, Pikeville.

Ludie is survived by her son, Ricky Watkins; grandchildren, Sarah Huber, James Watkins and Shelby Fraim; and her great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Watkins, Abigail Fraim and Walter Huber.

Flowers are welcome or the family suggests memorials be given to the Tuscarora Council, P.O. Box 1436, Goldsboro, N.C., 27533.

D'AMBROSIO

Jan. 15, 1941-Aug. 13, 2014

Janet Neville D'Ambrosio, 73, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.

Janet was born in England Jan. 15, 1941, to the late William and Beryl Neville.

She was married to the late retired Chief Master Sgt. Angelo James D'Ambrosio.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, in Wayne Memorial Park, with deacon Webster James officiating.

The family will only greet friends at the cemetery following the service.

Janet is survived by her children, James Angelo D'Ambrosio of Goldsboro, Alma D'Ambrosio Sherrod and husband, Steven, of Goldsboro and Damon William D'Ambrosio and wife, Diane, of Fuquay-Varina; 11 grandchildren; and her four sisters.

In addition to her husband and parents, Janet was preceded in death by her daughters, Lisa Marie D'Ambrosio and Angie D'Ambrosio Brown.
