OLIVIA "DIB" BYERS BURNS

Olivia "Dib" Byers Burns, 90, Greenwood, S.C., died Monday, July 21, 2014, at Oconee Medical Center.
She was born in Hickory, N.C., to the late Toby Council Byers and Ethleen Tankersley Byers.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald "Ronnie" Byers, and two sisters, Mary Lucy Cardwell and Peggy McCartney.
Surviving Mrs. Burns are her two children, a son, Robert M. Burns Jr. and his wife, Charmagne, of Walhalla, S.C., and a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Chitwood, of Orlando, Fla.; four grandchildren, C.R. Dunnavant, Tim Dunnavant, Robert Burns III and Laura Burns Pacek; four great-grandchildren, Nathan, Devon Joy, J.T. and Ava Lily; and a brother, J.C. Byers and his wife, Wilma Byers, of Laurens, S.C.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Harris Funeral Home.
Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery in Hartwell, Ga., with the Rev. Kevin Hembree officiating
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Burns may be sent to Calvary Baptist Church, 2775 Montague Ave. Ext., Greenwood, S.C., 29649.
