Jerry Lee Foss, 66, resident of Faison, N.C., passed away Sunday morning, July 20, at St. Joseph's Mission Hospital in Asheville.
Funeral service is to be Tuesday, July 22, at 6 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home, with the Rev. Paul Rose and the Rev. Chris Schneider officiating, and followed by visitation.
Burial will be Wednesday, July 23, at noon at Calypso Cemetery.
Friends and family are also receiving at the Daphne Holloman residence, 111 E. Goshen St. in Faison.
Jerry was the son of the late Claude Foss Jr. and Maybelle Lee Foss Newcomb.
He had enjoyed a career with the town of Mount Olive as a mechanic with more than 30 years of loyal service. Also, he had been employed with Waller's Hardware.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Martha Parker of Faison; his children, Gary Lee Foss and wife, Patty Williamson Foss, of CLinton, Deanne "Dena" Grady and fiancé, Robert Malpass, of Four Oak Oaks and Ginger Lynn Holloway and husband, D.J., of Mount Olive; the mother of his children, Glenda S. Foss; stepchildren, Daphne Holloman and husband, Ken, of Faison, David Hollingsworth and wife, Janet, of Faison, Kim and Johnny Phillips of Princeton and Ray Foss and wife, Nancy, of Faison; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Odell and Louise Foss, C.J. and Cheryl Foss and Kenneth and Renee Foss all of Mount Olive; and his nieces and nephews.
