Irene Jackson Marks, 81, Goldsboro, passed away Wednesday at Willow Creek Nursing Home.
Irene was a loving wife, mother and grandmother whose primary goal was the happiness of her family.
She attended the Bridge Church.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 19, 2014, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, with the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel. The Rev. Andy Stovall will officiate. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Irene is survived by her husband, Robert Marks of Beaufort, N.C.; daughters, Catherine Grant of Goldsboro, Elizabeth Elder and husband, Allen, of Swansboro and April Harper and husband, Jeff, of Swansboro; sons, Glenn Pruitt and wife, Diane, of Columbia, S.C., and Robert Pruitt of Morehead City; and her brother, Joe Jackson of Fort Worth, Texas.
She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
