DENNIS CHARBONNEAU

Dennis "Den"/"Denny" Charbonneau, 66, Jordan, Ark., passed away Friday, July 11, 2014.

He was born Sept. 18, 1947, in Adams, Mass., to Alfred and Frances Charbonneau. He grew up in Massachusetts, Georgia, Illinois and Wisconsin, graduating from Dundee High School in Illinois, attending Milwaukee School of Engineering.

He enlisted in the United States Army in 1967, and served in Vietnam.

He met Debbie "Deb" in 1971, and they were married in 1976 in Illinois. They moved to Arkansas shortly thereafter.

Den was a skilled craftsman, and built many homes in the area.

He lived a full life, and enjoyed motorcycling, hunting, fishing, scuba diving and just working in his shop.

He traveled last year with two of his good friends to the Arctic Circle on his Harley, which was a trip he had planned for years.

He was a past vice president with Twin Lakes Home Builders Association and past vice president with Brunner Hill Water Association.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Deborah Charbonneau; his mother, Frances Charbonneau; sisters, Susan Charbonneau and Lois (Steve) Rains of Goldsboro, N.C.; sister, Janet Charbonneau of Charleston, S.C.; father-in-law, Leo (Karen M.) Heifetz; sisters and brothers-in-law, Leslie (Craig) Martin, Karen Heifetz (Chet Witek) and Scott (Heidi) Heifetz; five nieces; two nephews; two aunts; and many cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, Alfred Charbonneau; his brother, Paul Charbonneau; his grandparents; aunts and uncles; and mother-in-law, Cheryl Heifetz.

Dennis had a lasting impact on all of those whose lives he touched, and will be truly missed by his family, friends and co-workers.

Visitation was from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at Kirby and Family Funeral Home with service following at 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Serenity Shelter in Mountain Home, Food Bank of North Arkansas in Norfork or a charity of your choice.
