LENNY MILLS

July 9, 1957-June 11, 2014

William Leonard "Lenny" Mills, 56, Selma, passed away suddenly Wednesday from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Lenny was born in Wayne County July 9, 1957, to Norwood Leonard Mills and Thelma Taylor Mills of Goldsboro.

He owned and operated L&L Timber Co.

Lenny was a proud member of the National Rifle Association, Ducks Unlimited and the North American Hunting and Fishing Club.

Lenny was a true sportsman, most comfortable outdoors, on the water or in the woods. He was a hunter of big and small game, and loved walking in the woods and fields with a gun, as well as being on the water with a fishing rod.

Lenny was loved by all children, especially those he taught to fish. He enjoyed all sports, especially NASCAR racing.

He is also survived by Valinda's children, Brian Borders and Ricky Borders.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mamie and John William Taylor, and his paternal grandparents, Catherine and Charlie Mills.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
