Mrs. Georgette Davida Brown Guidroz, 39, lovingly known by her family and friends as "Mrs. G" or "Lady G," 221 Denning Road, Dudley, N.C., departed her earthly life Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at her residence.

Georgette was born in Monongalia County, W. Va., Oct. 28, 1974. She was born to Mrs. Mary Johnson-Talley and Mr. George D. Brown.

She received her education in the public school system of Monongalia County.

Georgette was employed by both the Wake County and the Wayne County school systems, where she served as a teacher.

She was a member of the Mount Calvary Word of Faith Church in Raleigh, N.C., and under the leadership of pastor Shirley Caesar-Williams.

Funeral service will be conducted Thursday, June 12, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Mount Calvary Word of Faith Church, 3100 Sanderford Road, Raleigh, N.C. Pastor Shirley Caesar-Williams will officiate.

Interment will be held in Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 441 Casey Mill Road, Dudley, N.C., 28333.

Also, a public viewing will be held Thursday, June 12, 2014, in Mount Calvary Word of Faith Church, 3100 Sanderford Road, Raleigh, N.C., from noon to 1 p.m.

Mrs. Georgette leaves to cherish her loving and precious memories to her husband, Leon Guidroz; her mother, Mary Johnson-Talley and husband, Melvin J. Talley Sr.; her father, George David Brown; her sisters, Faith Jobina Brown and Maryemma Effie Brown; her stepbrothers, Gabriel Brown and Melvin J. Talley Jr.; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends and church family members.

Thursday, June 12, 2014, family and friends will assemble at Mount Calvary Word of Faith Church in Raleigh, N.C., at 11:30 a.m. in preparation for the public viewing and funeral service.

Flowers may be sent to McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C., beginning Wednesday, June 11, 2014, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
