Mrs. Effie Mae Foreman Gibbs, 84, 1106 N. James St., Goldsboro, died June 7 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Effie was born June 14, 1929, in Goldsboro, and was the daughter of the late Claude and Maggie Pelham Foreman.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 13, at 2 p.m. at St. Mark Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, 700 W. Ash St., with Bishop Alton A. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park South, U.S. 117 South, Dudley.
A public viewing will be held Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. At other times, it will receive family and friends at the residence.
Left with memories of a life time are three daughters, Betty (Michael), Juanita (Jimmy) and Doris all of Goldsboro; a son, Leslie Jr. of Fayetteville, N.C.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy F. Cotton of Ithica, N.Y.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Hamilton Funeral Chapel is serving the family.
