EDNA THORNTON WESTBROOK

Edna Thornton Westbrook passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014, at The Pines of Goldsboro.
She was born July 10, 1920, in Wayne County to the late Grover Bayard Sr. and Lizzie Thornton
Westbrook.
Edna was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Bentonville, N.C.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 18, 2014, at 3 p.m. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church at 3162 Harper House Road in Four Oaks, N.C., 27524, with the Rev. Tom Hoogerland and the Rev. Dick Lewis officiating.
Burial service will be held Monday, May 19, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park in Goldsboro, N.C.
Surviving are nieces, Martha Flowers and husband, Phil, of Greenville, Rose Kornegay and husband, Pete, of Camden, Nancy Moore and husband, Gary, of Goldsboro and Susan Kornegay and husband, Michael, of Goldsboro; nephew, Jeffrey Westbrook of Goldsboro; sister-in-law, Dorothy Renfrow Westbrook of Grantham; six great-nieces and nephews; and four great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Seth David Westbrook, G. B. Westbrook Jr. and Ivan Woodall Westbrook.
The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church.
