Betty Louise Radford Johnson, 76, died Wednesday afternoon while under the loving care of the doctors and nurses on the sixth floor at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late William David Radford and Minnie Willoughby Radford, and was the wife of the late Walter Johnson Jr.
She attended the Salvation Army church, and was a member of Women of the Moose, the Legion of the Moose and the American Legion.
A service to celebrate the life of Louise will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with pastor Pete Radford and pastor Dennis Pollock officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Family members will greet friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and at other times, will be at the home of Paul and Donna Lucas, 1729 N.C. 111 North, Goldsboro.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and David Dixon of Dudley Roshelle and Donald McCullen of Goldsboro, Teresa and Paul Radford of Princeton and Wanda Johnson of Pine Level; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth Louvorn of Goldsboro and Joyce Ann and Alfred Bass of Kenly; brothers and sisters-in-law, David Arthur and Betty Radford of Rosewood, Bennett and Joan Radford of Princeton, Jo Ann and David Kascsak of Goldsboro and Melva Johnson of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Donna and Paul Lucas of Goldsboro, Buck and Beth Culbreth of Mount Olive, Drs. Dave and Lisa Dixon of Richmond, Va., Donnie and Jenny McCullen of Grantham, William Culbreth of Goldsboro, Alden Short of Pine Level and Glory Radford of Princeton; great-grandchildren, Nathan Lucas, Elijah Lucas, Ellie Dixon, Wyatt Dixon, Payton Culbreth, Anthony Culbreth, Andon Culbreth, Teresa Renae Holland, Amber Lucas, Brittany Lucas, Laci Paul Radford and Morgan Radford.
